Welcome to Southwest Search Dogs!  

Southwest Search Dogs (SWSD) is a volunteer K-9 Search and Rescue group, affiliated with the San Diego Police Department. SWSD offers professional K-9 teams, certified in Area Search, Trailing, Cadaver, Water, and Basic Urban Disaster, at no cost to the requesting agency. Response time in the greater San Diego area is typically under 40 minutes and initial teams are usually deployed within one hour of the callout.
